Founded in 2012 by Boris Chovnik, BCF began as a modest friends and family fund. Over its initial five years, the fund boasted an impressive average return of 34% annually. However, 2017 marked a pivotal year, revealing the challenges of aggressive investment strategies. This experience led to the formulation of key principles that now guide BCF’s investment approach.

Boris Chovnik, an alumnus of Israel’s top institutions – the Technion and Tel Aviv University, has always been forward-thinking. From his early days of trading stocks as an 11-year-old to his extensive experience in the finance sector, Boris’s journey has been marked by both triumphs and lessons. His academic pursuits in advanced finance and investments, combined with his interactions with notable investors like Mr. Zhao Danyang, have shaped BCF’s unique perspective on the market.

Today, Boris’s interests have expanded into the realm of venture capital, with a keen focus on disruptive technologies like cybersecurity, cloud services, artificial intelligence, and biotech. Being based in Israel, the “startup nation”, he leverages the country’s unparalleled R&D capabilities and his vast network to invest in promising early-stage startups.

At BCF, our mission is twofold: to share the wisdom garnered from decades of experience and to build a community where investors can discuss and learn about the ever-evolving world of investments. While we tread with caution, understanding the intricacies of the market, we remain passionate about uncovering opportunities that promise a brighter future and substantial returns.

A Note from Boris Chovnik: “Investing, for me, is more than just numbers; it’s a way of life. It’s about securing the future while relishing the analytical journey of the present. My experiences, both as an investor and as an educator, have taught me the importance of community, knowledge-sharing, and continuous learning. At BCF, we aim to empower our community with the insights and tools they need to navigate the investment landscape confidently.”
